Moe Part 6(モイ パート シックス, moe pāto shikkusu) is the 60th chapter of the Munou na Nana manga, written by Looseboy, and illustrated by Iori Furuya.
Synopsis[]
Sachiyo is about to die. She discusses with Moe, then with Tsuruoka. Tsuruoka surprisingly helped her a lot with everything related to her funerals, and he called her relatives. Kyouya, Nana, Fuuko, and Sachiko discuss the evidence. Fuuko thinks Daisuke is trying to frame Nana to kill her. Sachiko thinks Takeo thought Nana wrote him the suspicious letter because he was in love with her. Later on, Tsuruoka confronts Moe outside of the hospital room of Sachiyo. Tsuruoka explains to Moe that her grandmother's last wish was for her to leave the school, the military, and dissociate herself with Nana. As soon as Moe starts to protest, Tsuruoka threatens her and lets her know that he could kill her right here if he wanted to because she knows about classified military information. Moe accepts her fate. Sachiyo's death is announced.
Long Summary[]
The cover image shows Nana and Moe looking in different directions with flowers in the background.
Sachiyo's illness
Moe chats happily to her grandmother in a room of the hospital. As they're talking about Nana, Tsuruoka enters the room. He then say that he has contacted all of Sachiyo's relatives. She thanks him and thinks he did more than enough for her. Tsuruoka also made her final arrangements. He even covered the medical costs. The justification of his actions is that Sachiyo gave him a lot of helping back when he was a student. In her opinion, these actions were trivial so she's surprised. The fact that she can't stand by when someone needs help made Tsuruoka believe that there are good people in this world. Sachiyo then asks Moe to go buy her a vase.
After Moe leaves, Sachiyo asks Tsuruoka to send Moe to a normal school. It seems like all Sachiyo knows is that her granddaughter goes to a school with talented people, she doesn't know what Moe does there. Tsuruoka asks Sachiyo if she's worried about Moe being involved with the military. Sachiyo explains that Moe was hurt when growing up, so she struggles to understand the life and pain of others. "She believes she can do to others what was done to her...". Tsuruoka seconds that statement by saying that there is no limit to her innocence, to the point where it's almost barbaric. Sachiyo says that she's concerned about how Moe's mind will develop if she stays in that school. Sachiyo believes that Moe lacks tenacity in fight, and asks Tsuruoka if he agrees. Sachiyo doesn't want Moe to face more suffering because she thinks that Moe doesn't have the ability to face pain. Sachiyo never scolded or disciplined her, that's Sachiyo's only regret. Sachiyo adds that when Moe cried, she cried with her. She also doubts that Moe will be able to accept her death. Tsuruoka gives her his word that he'll make Moe change school.
Back to the investigation
Kyouya, Nana, Fuuko, and Sachiko discuss the evidence. Kyouya points out that there is no guarantee that Moe is involved with the case. Car keys that matched the car used to kill Takeo were found in Nana's apartment. Nana thinks the real culprit actually put them there. To debunk the claim that she wrote a letter to Takeo, Nana explains that she'd talk directly to him to kill him. Kyouya doesn't understand why Takeo would take this letter seriously and go out to a deserted place under such circumstances[1]. Nana suggests that they investigate Takeo. Sachiko teleports all of them to his room. Nana implies that Daisuke set her up by saying that Takeo might not have read the letter.
Kyouya says that he was with Daisuke when they found the letter in the drawer (Nanao is surely the one who put it here). Since there were other letters from his parents' house and lucky charms in his drawer, Kyoya assumed that Takeo thought he should have kept the suspicious letter in a safe place.
Sachiko tries to explain this odd situation. She says that Takeo had feelings for Nana, and that's why he thought the letter was sent by her. Before Takeo's death, Kiyomi, who was eating at the same table as Takeo, said to Sachiko that he couldn't stop talking about Nana. According to Kyouya, that would explain why Takeo defended Nana when Daisuke said that he'd be the leader. Nana says that someone who knew about Takeo's feelings for her could have taken advantage of it, but Sachiko says that there were quite a lot of people who knew.
Relation Takeo-Daisuke
Sachiko explains that before going to the island, they were on a rugby team at the same school. Daisuke went wrong because of injury[2].
How Takeo's talent is linked with Daisuke's
Takeo's talent is revealed by Fuuko : glass body. He could make his body transparent like glass. He can't actually turn his body into glass. Glass is an insulator that doesn't conduct electricity. Daisuke's talent is electricity (from what we know). Fuuko thinks that Daisuke did it and adds as proof that Daisuke wants to push things. Fuuko tries to find a logical explanation but Kyouya says that Fuuko's explanation would make Nana the culprit. Sachiko adds that numerous times, people around Nana died and she was treated as the culprit. However, Kyouya lets Nana know that Daisuke is trying to have her killed. Nana declares that she's stuck.
Death of Sachiyo
A lot of her relatives are gathered around her hospital bed as she's about to pass away. Moe tells Sachiyo to go to the zoo again sometime with her. Then, Moe said that she would get a drink and quietly left the hospital room. Tsuruoka crosses her and explain to her that she was some kind of backup in case Nana got killed by talented people. Tsuruoka then says her that she's allowed to leave the military. Moe is shocked by the fact that she can leave the military and the school. Tsuruoka sets one condition. Moe has to stay silent about the murder. Tsuruoka is willing to forgive her. When she came to the island, Moe said that she'd kill Nana if she betrayed the government. Moe apologizes and says that she enjoys being with Nana. Tsuruoka then threatens to kill Moe right here, she has classified military information. Tsuruoka says that he wants to fulfill Sachiyo's last wish. He tells Moe that it's her own grandmother who wants this. He says that getting involved with the case would mean going against Sachiyo's last wish. He convinces Moe that her grandmother wanted her to stay silent. Moe's mind was filled with her grandmother's smile and Nana's face. She simply said : "I understand." A doctor announces Sachiyo's death.
