Last Chapter

Tsuruoka injures Jin severely and captures him. He captures Kyouya too. Everyone at the school knows that Nana murdered people and tried to kill Nanao. They beat up Nana and the military comes. She is sent to jail. The talented are now officially known as enemies of humanity. They're persecuted. Three years have passed and Nana gets asked by mysterious people is she had been rehabilitated. She says yes and smiles. Chapter 68

Synopsis

Nana is conferred a mission by the investigator. He explains that while Nana was in jail for three years, social conditions changed, and under the leadership of new Prime Minister Kario, legislation was passed that greatly restricted the rights of the talented. Talented from all over the country are being transported to the management camp. Nanao, who is a chief in the army, then brings Nana outside. He is about to tell her her mission, so she follows him. When she gets behind them, Nana is about to take her knife out.

Long Summary

In Jail, Nana is interrogated. She is asked if she killed Daisuke three years ago. She answers yes. One of the investigators conclude that at the time, Nana didn't believe she had a talent, and that she was under the guidance of a committee and a person named Tatsumi Tsuruoka. He asks Nana if she thinks that that is still true today. Nana answers that she wanted to escape from her sins, and she was so eager to escape her sins, she has been saying things she’d never think she’d say.

The investigator asks Nana if she has been honest. Nana says that she’d like to express her deepest apologies to Daisuke and all those who suffered from the explosion. Believing that Nana is very honest, the investigator entrusts Nana with a task. He first explains that while Nana was in jail for three years, social conditions changed, and under the leadership of new Prime Minister Kario, legislation was passed that greatly restricted the rights of the talented. Talented from all over the country are being transported to the management camp. Then, he says that he’d like Nana to use her experience to monitor and control the talented. He asks the chief to take care of the rest.

Nanao then appears behind Nana. She’s surprised. Nana is taken out of jail, and she goes around the city with Nanao and realizes that it’s in ruins. Nanao tells Nana that he’ll explain task soon. They see someone hung. Nanao asks Nana if she’s used to see dead bodies. Nana asks Nanao what crime was this person hung for. She doesn’t get an answer. Nanao tells Nana that she is going to be their pawn, and do stuff they don't want to. In exchange, he says Nana will receive preferential treatment. Nana accepts. Nanao says he’s the one who recommanded Nana. She says that she’s going to make her life a little easier from now on. Nanao tells nana that he’ll be watching her.

Nanao disappears for a few seconds showing Nana that he can do that. He then ask them to follow him. Nana is about to take out a weapon.
