Time Travel Part 4 (タイムリープ パート ツー, たいむりーぷ ぱーと フォー, taimurīpu pāto fō) is the 75th chapter of the Munou na Nana manga, written by Looseboy, and illustrated by Iori Furuya.
Synopsis[]
Shizuka realizes that Nana changed the date on the clock. She had tricked Shizuka into thinking it was August 1st. Nana acknowledges that Shizuka’s talent of sending someone back into the past is powerful, but she already fought against people with great powers in the past. She killed them all without mercy.
Nana asks her if she sends people to the past by writing on their wrists with a pen. Shizuka responds that it doesn't have to be a pen. Nana figured out that Shizuka writing on her wrist during the night had something to do with her talent. She had stuck paper into her wrist, meaning that Shizuka had written on paper, not on Nana’s wrist. Nana noticed that Shizuka is wearing stuffy clothes in the summer.
Shizuka has scars on her wrist. Shizuka explains that it’s from her parents. Three years ago, there was a major political shift with Kario getting elected. Her dad lost his job because of it. Current politicians spent money on hunting down the talented, which messes with welfare programs. Shizuka’s mother was already bedridden and anxious. One day, Shizuka came home from school and found her parents dead, having killed themselves. She tried to kill herself too by cutting her wrist. She lost consciousness and when she woke up, her parents were alive.
She had gone back in time. That’s how Shizuka found out about her talent. Shizuka tried to save her parents, but no matter how many times she went back in time, her parents kept dying. Shizuka then stopped caring about anything. She started living with the miscreants in her neighborhood. She tested her talent on them. Shizuka realized she didn’t need to cut herself or lose consciousness. She just needed to draw a line on their wrist and go to sleep.
Nana found out that Shizuka can’t travel back in time more than five times. That’s her talent’s limit. Shizuka also can’t travel further back in time than five days earlier. She hadn’t lost and give up on saving her parents. Nana suggests that Shizuka and her work together. Shizuka accepts and admits her defeat. She declares that she’ll do as Nana says. She also starts calling Nana “Sis”.
Nana explains that their first objective is returning Kyouya to his senses. They need Fuuko to accomplish that. Nana asks Shizuka to travel back in time to yesterday, when Fuuko died. Shizuka explains that her power doesn’t work more than five times per person. There are other limitations that Shizuka skipped over. Shizuka lets Nana have the top bunk.
Nana wakes up and it’s August 1st. While Kyouya explains the watchmen’s job, Nana asks Shizuka what happened to the other world, the one where Fuuko is dead. Shizuka doesn’t know whether it disappears or continues existing as a parallel world.
Kyouya stops walking and points out how it’s Nana and Shizuka’s first day together and they’re already best friends. Fuuko walks towards them. Kyouya tries to run away, but Nana violently grabs his hand to stop him. Nana tells Kyouya that one of their allies is about to kill herself and asks him to pull himself together.
Long Summary[]
Shizuka realizes that Nana changed the date on the clock. When Nana was changing this morning, she wasn’t taking off her prisoner’s uniform. She was putting it on so she could trick Shizuka into thinking it was August 1st. Nana interrupted Kyouya to prevent him from saying anything that would give her away. She was waiting for the right time to inform Shizuka that it’s August 2nd. Shizuka understands that Nana saved her. Nana acknowledges that Shizuka’s talent of sending someone back into the past is powerful, but she already fought against people with great powers in the past. She killed them all without mercy.
