Kazuha (カズハ) was a girl living on the island 5 years ago, at the same time as Jin Tachibana and Rin Onodera. She was originally alluded to in chapter 19, and made her official debut in chapter 94. She has no known family name.
Appearance[]
Kazuha wears a simple headband. Her hair and eye color are unknown. She is only ever seen wearing the school's female uniform.
Personality[]
Kazuha is a thoughtful, outgoing girl, so much so that she tries to keep Rin company despite her bad health and constant objections. She seems to get embarrassed when talking to boys she likes. After learning that her crush Shigeru has a girlfriend, she becomes twisted, and threatens to kill anyone and everyone who gets in the way of her love, even Rin, whom she had previously shown kindness to. She gets incredibly jealous at the thought of anyone else dating Shigeru. She also insists that she is the strongest person on the island, and will not hesitate to try and prove it.
Talent[]
Kazuha's Talent is never outright stated, but it is implied to be super strength. Jin refers to her as "a girl with the strength to smash a body into tiny pieces" in chapter 19, and Kazuha confirms as much in chapter 94. Her Talent's drawback is unknown.
Synopsis[]
When Jin was talking to Nana about the war 5 years ago, he alluded to a girl who had killed her crush to prove that she was the strongest. During Rin's flashback to her time on the island, Kazuha attempted to take care of and befriend her, but was turned away. She had feelings for Shigeru, the class leader at the time. Due to him having "liked strong girls," she attempted to prove she was the strongest person on the island, and in doing so, killed him. She then confronted Rin to try and find out who Shigeru's girlfriend was, saying that she wanted "to teach them a lesson on who's stronger." She quickly became lost in her delusions, accusing Rin of being his girlfriend, and then simply deciding that she should kill everyone on the island. Rin's life was saved by Jin, who knocked Kazuha away with his telekinesis. The next morning, while calling roll "with an especially lifeless face," "she confessed to all of her crimes unprompted." She was "labeled an aberration and quarantined," and was soon killed by "the mob" via lynching.

- Chapter 95 is the chapter where Kazuha confesses to her crimes and is later killed, but what she does between those events is never stated. However, in chapter 19, Jin mentions that she was "labeled an aberration and quarantined."
